Speaker 1:

Hello there and welcome to season two of the Inner Purpose podcast. I know a lot of you who have been following me have been asking me where did you go? I kind of went radio silent for a while and there's a few reasons for that and I'm going to share some of them now. I'm going to tell you kind of what happened at the end of 2024, because there were some huge shifts that happened and I'm about to come back out of my radio silence with a completely new I don't even know what to call it. How about? I share the story and then you're going to understand what's been going on in my world.

Speaker 1:

So the last podcast episode in 2024, in September, just after that podcast, I went on my yearly retreat to our cabin in the woods. I go there every year during moose hunting season with my husband because he goes and hunts moose and it's my birthday around that time. So we've made it an annual event where I go with him while he's hunting and I take that time for myself, off grid in the middle of nowhere, to recalibrate during my birthday, and it's the best gift that I can give myself. I look forward to it every single year. So this year we arrived the day of my birthday and that day there was a lunar eclipse. Now, this is important because I was born on a lunar eclipse and it's a fairly rare event to have a lunar eclipse happen again on the same day that you were born. And it was quite an energetic lunar eclipse. I know a lot of people felt it. I definitely felt it. That night something started to change within me. I can't tell you how. I can't tell you exactly what that change was, tell you how I can't tell you exactly what that change was, except the fact that I knew from the very core of my being that things were about to change drastically in amazing ways. So I took that time in the woods to recalibrate and sit with myself and be in nature and be with my husband and enjoy that time.

Speaker 1:

And then, when I came back, I had already registered for a very intensive practitioner certification program to learn neurolinguistic programming, timeline therapy, which are all unconscious recalibration and reprogramming modalities. I was excited for this program and I didn't have a whole lot of expectations. I knew before I started that it was going to be another modality that I was learning to add to my toolbox, because that's the way I work is, I pull from multiple different modalities that I've learned and certified in. Depending on how you're presenting, I will use whatever modalities are appropriate in that moment to get you the best results the most efficiently, and that was my expectation going into this program. And then we got started and, let me tell you, it kind of blew my mind a little bit. We got started in a fairly normal way and I was enjoying what I was learning. And then we got to the timeline therapy portion and I knew that this was the piece out of all of the neuro linguistic programming that I knew I really wanted to learn the most Instinctively. It just felt like this is why I'm here.

Speaker 1:

And so, in order to understand how to do this technique, we learn by doing it on each other, and once I had this experience, the shifts that I felt within one week was equivalent to the levels of shifts that I had achieved in the previous six years, and you know, if you've been following my podcast, that I've had some pretty significant shifts. I did a lot of inner work and I had a lot of breakthroughs, I had awakenings, I had realizations. My entire inner landscape and inner paradigm went through a major transformation since 2018. And then fast forward to October 2024 and in one day I had the same level of shift within me. It blew my mind a little bit and I was excited for this. I couldn't wait to start using this in my work with my clients so that they could have the same experience that I did. And so as soon as I got back to work after this program, I started incorporating this with my clients, and every time I did, my clients would say, wow, that was phenomenal, that changed everything for me.

Speaker 1:

And then having follow-ups weeks later and months later, the things that were unfolding for them at the rate that they were unfolding at the rate that they were unfolding, the fact that opportunities that they had never even imagined could happen were unfolding for them almost like magic. The fact that they were no longer feeling triggered or bothered by other people's reactions. They were no longer taking things personally. They knew how to carry themselves, even in difficult situations. They were finding that their leadership people were looking to them and respecting them and following them in ways that they had never done before, and they could see how everything was happening for them and it became and it is so obvious now and they can see it and I can see it for myself as well. It's a complete inner paradigm shift in terms of how you see yourself, how you see reality, how you respond to reality and the inner dialogue and monologues that happen in your mind.

Speaker 1:

And so, after I had this experience and I started seeing similar experiences in my clients I had to stop and reflect and go. What's going on here? And so in December, I knew I was going to be taking some time off for the holidays and so I started to sit with myself, and I think what actually sparked this was, just before the holiday started, a fellow friend and timeline practitioner and I had decided to do an exchange on each other. So this was my second experience with someone doing timeline therapy on me, and so we had this exchange, and then I sat in meditation and then it was like almost like this ding, like the timer was ready, like ding, and something inside me said okay, now you've got to go sit down and type. And what came next I can't even describe. It was like my fingers were moving and things were flowing out of me that I can't even just you're going to understand once you see what's going to, what's unfolding in terms of what I'm going to be presenting for you.

Speaker 1:

But I started typing, and typing, and typing, and all the thoughts in terms of putting connections to all the things that I've seen and done and researched over the years just started coming together. And so I started to pull up all my old Google Docs with lists and lists of references from scientific research articles that I'd collected and their quotes and the findings and the summaries. And then, as I was pulling all of those up and referencing them and thinking about all the different analogies and examples that I would use in my work and all the different common patterns that I would see in my clients over and over and over again, I started to see puzzle pieces coming together. I started connecting the dots and then, of course, I opened up tab after tab of PubMed searches, looking at articles, going deeper into all of the different connections that I was starting to see to make sure that they were true, to make sure that there's science to back up everything that I was putting together. And it was like this snowball that just kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger as I was putting all of these pieces of the puzzle together and I kept telling myself, okay, I'm going to put this aside soon and go back to my work, go back to being on social media, going back to sharing what it was I was sharing before, and every time I thought to do that, there was something inside me that said, no, no, you're not ready yet. Because this is important and this is the thing.

Speaker 1:

I had been collecting research for years, especially since my health crisis, which I've talked about in season one, and when I had this health crisis, nothing that I had known to use as a clinical naturopathic doctor was really helping me to get back up on my feet again when I had gotten to this point of being bed bound, and that's what really started this whole journey of me discovering this whole inner world of inner transformation, which has been the spark that started all of the different pivots that I've made in my business as I put more and more of these pieces of the puzzle together. Now, in the background of doing all of this, I had been collecting even more research that I haven't been telling you about. You see, I have this special interest in diving deep into rabbit holes of research and then taking all kinds of different areas of research that are seemingly unrelated and connecting dots Dots that are real dots. However, it's almost like I think about some of these problems in ways, maybe, that other people don't, and so then I see this one topic or thing, or the proven result of this one scientific concept and I start asking questions Okay, well, what about this and what about this and what about this? And then I start going and looking at those different directions and getting deep into the roots of those, and then I can start to see the commonalities and patterns and how they actually fit together. And this is something that was confirmed to me as I was diving into all of this research is that those of us who are highly sensitive, those of us who are neurodivergent, our brains are actually wired to do this. It's a gift that we have because of our neurobiology and how it's built, compared to a neurotypical person, which explains why this comes so easily to me. It's second nature, because this is how my neurobiology is designed, just like so many others that I see as clients who are highly sensitive, who are gifted, who are neurodivergent. More often than not, they would also agree that they have astute gifts with things like pattern recognition and connecting dots and thinking about things in ways that other people around them don't seem to be able to consider or see, and sometimes they don't think anything of it. They just think that everybody thinks this way, or they wonder why other people don't think this way or don't see what they see. And it's because we're part of a minority group of people who have brains that are built in this way, and in future episodes, I'll share with you the neurobiology of exactly why we're built differently and how and what the neurobiological differences are, because if you're like me, you want to know about these things. If you're like me, it helps you to understand yourself and why you feel different than other people, and when you understand, that empowers you. That makes you feel like that. It's not something that needs to be fixed, that you can feel in control of your neurobiology because you understand how it works.

Speaker 1:

Now here I was over the holidays putting all of this together and I knew that I needed to come back to social media. All the while of doing this research, I'm still seeing my clients. However, I'm not being seen publicly. I didn't make any more podcast episodes, if you've noticed. I didn't make any more podcast episodes, if you've noticed, during that time, and I wasn't posting on Instagram or Facebook or threads during that time either, because I was so immersed in this research and it was almost like it was bigger than me. I couldn't not. I knew there was some intuitive nudge within me that said you need to get deeper into this, because this is what you need to share with others. So you can't share with others until you figure this out. And the other piece of it is I needed to shut off the outside world so that I could hear myself, and then as well, every single day and every single week that I was putting these pieces of the puzzle together. It was like it was just this constant evolution and constant evolving of what I was seeing. So if I would have come out on social media in the midst of this process, it would have probably looked very jumbled, because what I was putting together and what I was seeing was changing and evolving every single day, and so it didn't feel correct for me to come out at that point, because every day there was something different that I would have been sharing with you. That, at the time, didn't seem to make sense, and what was required was for me to actually move through the whole process before I could now come out and share everything that I put together. So there was a big lesson that I learned in all of this.

Speaker 1:

At the beginning of this process in January, I was putting a lot of pressure on myself. I need to get back out there. I need to start posting again because, well, everybody else is right, all the other entrepreneurs are, all else is right, all the other entrepreneurs are, all the other coaches are, all the other practitioners are we're. You know, we took a break. We took our two weeks off for the holidays. I've got to get back into it.

Speaker 1:

And the more I pushed myself, the more resistance I felt. It felt hard and it felt like I was trying to force something to happen, and I knew instinctively that that wasn't the thing that was going to be optimal for me to do. And so at some point during that month, I said okay, okay, michelle, you got to stop pressuring yourself. I had to ask myself, as though I'm my own client, what would I tell my client if they were putting all this inner pressure on themselves? And I realized I was chasing the cat.

Speaker 1:

I can't remember if I've given this analogy in a previous podcast. This concept of chasing the cat is when you're trying to push and force something to happen. It's like if you try to pet a cat and you're chasing it down to give it attention, it's likely not going to let you pet it, but if you actually sit back, lean back into the flow of what you're doing, the cat will come to you. And I had to remember that for myself not to chase the cat, and so I allowed myself to take as long as I needed to move through this and figure out all the puzzle pieces and immerse myself in what I was doing, because I knew this was important. And so here we are in March, and I finally feel like I'm ready to start coming out with what it is that I put together. And I realize, now that I've put all these puzzle pieces together, how huge this is. It's bigger than me, and what I've put together is something that isn't talked about.

Speaker 1:

The research is there. Everything that I'm going to share with you is backed by science. It's proven. However, I guarantee you, especially if you're neurodivergent, highly sensitive, gifted, and you're ambitious and you know that you're here for more success, for more fulfillment you know that you're here to make a big impact and make a meaningful difference. This information changes everything. I can't stress that enough. I have so much to share with you I can't fit it all into one podcast, so I'm not even going to try. Essentially, I have six years of research I've been collecting, that I finally assimilated and it confirms everything that I had already intuitively known from all of the work I've been doing with my clients and the patterns that I've been seeing over and over and over again and the results that my clients get over and over and over again. Now I have the science to explain exactly what's going on and it's almost like a secret hack for those of us who are neurodivergent, who are highly sensitive, who are gifted, to actually step into this level of thriving success without it feeling like a slag, without overworking, without burning out, without feeling overwhelmed, without resorting to people pleasing and masking and all of the coping mechanisms and survival behaviors that we so often adopt, as I've spoken about several times in season one of this podcast.

Speaker 1:

Over the years, I knew from the research that I'd been putting together that there was something that was deeper than physical symptoms. This was the first stage of my research epiphanies. At the first stage when I was doing all the research to better understand autoimmunity and endometriosis, after everything that I had tried as a naturopathic doctor wasn't working, I saw with clarity that the nervous system is a root for all of your physiological symptoms, how your body functions, how your mind functions, your emotions, your physical symptoms, how your hormones respond, how your metabolism works, how your immune system functions all of it is impacted by your nervous system, and I've been talking about that for years, and I've also talked about the fact that your nervous system is a bridge. That nervous system is the bridge between your inner emotional terrain and all of your physiological symptoms and emotional symptoms, and this is the thing that is still true. Your nervous system is the bridge, and what I'm seeing now is what's on the other side of that bridge.

Speaker 1:

I've spoken highly about the fact that our inner emotional terrain is the thing that impacts your nervous system, but what I've put together recently explains exactly what it is and exactly how to shift it to positively impact everything downstream, including your nervous system, including your body physiology, including your thoughts, your actions, your behaviors, how you show up in the world with your leadership, with your work, whether or not you're showing up, feeling confident, showing up with authority, showing up and sharing your ideas, showing up and being connected to your creativity and your pattern recognition and your innovative thinking gifts to their fullest potential. And then how people respond to you based on how you show up and how you respond to them. Based on how they show up and what they say and how they respond because of their own inner emotional terrain and their own inner projections and their own reactions to change and things that are different. And this root the other side of the bridge, the other side of the nervous system bridge is your unconscious mind and the neurobiology that's associated with that, and I was able to put together so many pieces of the puzzle to understand what's actually going on. And having this experience with the timeline therapy and going into the research to understand what that actually did for me and why that actually worked so well and so profoundly and so efficiently, explains the next level, deeper of everything, and the deepest level, especially for those of us who are highly sensitive, who are gifted, who are neurodivergent about how to actually thrive, because the research shows that we do have that capacity and that when we are put in the right conditions, we will thrive over and above our neurotypical peers. And I've talked about that in season one when I talked about vantage sensitivity, and now I've taken all of that to the next level and I'm so freaking excited to share this with you so that you can understand for yourself how to leverage your neurobiology to work for you instead of against you, because that's one key piece of this whole story is that those of us who are wired this way are wired for something called differential susceptibility, and what that means is, when you are in negatively supportive conditions, you're going to struggle, it's going to be hard.

Speaker 1:

Your inner neurobiology takes things in more deeply than your neurotypical peers, your less sensitive peers, and so when you do have a negatively supportive environment starting with your neurobiology, negatively supportive environment, starting with your neurobiology, starting with the inner thought loops and the filters that you are perceiving reality through, based on how you were conditioned in your developmental years that will impact what you're seeing. It impacts whether or not you are filtering reality for survival or for thriving, whether you are filtering reality for threat or for success. And because your unconscious mind and the associated neurobiology that's associated with your unconscious mind is more deeply affected and more deeply programmed than your neurotypical peers, when you're operating from programming that was negative. What that means is you've experienced, especially in your developmental years, all kinds of messages You're too sensitive, you're too much, you're not enough, you're broken, you need to be fixed, you need to be like the rest of us, you don't fit in, you don't belong, you need to be somebody else. All of these types of messages actually impact your unconscious mind, especially in your developmental years, before the age of seven, because those first seven years of life your conscious mind hasn't come online yet. You're operating solely from your unconscious mind, and so what that means is all of those messages will land in your unconscious mind and set up your filters, your unconscious mind.

Speaker 1:

There's all kinds of different neurobiological pieces of the puzzle here that will impact how you perceive things. It filters information. So say, for example, your reticular activating system is one piece of the puzzle here and that acts like a filter. All the information that's coming in, that you see, that you touch, that you feel, that you taste everything coming in. There's millions of bits of information that are coming at us at any one given moment and we can't possibly take all of that in for our brain to process. It would be overwhelming, it's too much. Our unconscious mind, especially the reticular activating system, acts like a filter so that we don't become overwhelmed. Otherwise it's kind of like a tidal wave coming into the front door. It's just too much. And so that reticular activating system on average filters through about 128 bits of those millions of pieces of information at any given moment.

Speaker 1:

For those of us who are highly sensitive, we tend to let more bits of information through that filter than the average person. And now that filter will be programmed according to the behaviors and the messages that have been modeled to you, especially in those developmental years. And so if you've received all of those messages which research shows for most of us who are highly sensitive, who are neurodivergent, statistics show that in general we receive significantly more negative messages from our caregivers, from our teachers, from adults who are modeling to us, than our neurotypical peers. And all of that impacts your unconscious mind and impacts those filters, and your reticular activating system then is programmed to expect rejection, to expect criticism, to expect threat, to expect that you're not going to feel safe. And that's the way it's going to be looking at the world and filtering all the information that's coming in from the outside. Which means that when your reticular activating system is filtering in this way, even if things around you are going. Well, you're not going to see it that way, or not see it fully that way, because you're not capable of fully seeing that reality because of how you're filtering your reality.

Speaker 1:

It's kind of like here's a bit of an analogy. So I was in the army many years ago. I was a medical assistant. When we're out in the field for field exercises, we're not allowed to use white light because the frequency of white light travels far and in order to be the safest, so that we are not detected by the enemy, that we need to use frequencies of light that travel a shorter distance. So when we're out on field exercises, we all have flashlights and we have a red filter that we put on those flashlights, because red light travels a shorter distance than white light.

Speaker 1:

Now, me as a medical assistant this is the thing If someone is injured in the field at night and they're bleeding, if I'm using a flashlight that has a red filter, I cannot see the blood. And so me, as a medical assistant, I was the only person that has permission to take that red filter off to check for bleeding. So when that light is going through a red filter, I cannot see blood. And it's a bit of the same concept with this reticular activating system. It's filtering through a certain filter, like a red filter, for example, and if you're filtering through that filter, you're not going to be able to see certain things, like I couldn't see the blood with the red filter. I'm going to go into more detail about that another time and know that there's so many components to this and I'm so excited to share all of them with you and I hope that you're going to find these as interesting as I do.

Speaker 1:

The thing here is that it's absolutely possible to reprogram your unconscious mind to clear those filters that are filtering for rejection and filtering for threat, and recalibrating your unconscious mind and then showing it new filters based on positive support, based on what's actually aligned for you, based on filtering for success and thriving, because those of us with differential sensitivity we are more negatively impacted by a negatively supportive environment and we are more positively impacted by a positively supportive environment when we're given support and encouragement. We will more positively be impacted by that than our neurotypical peers and it will actually allow us to thrive even more than our neurotypical peers. We will gain more of a benefit from a positively supportive environment than those of us who are not wired for differential susceptibility and for vantage sensitivity. Now the thing is, if you try to positively support yourself and your unconscious mind is still wired for threat and rejection and you're trying to use your conscious mind to shift all of this and to give yourself positive support, so maybe you do the affirmations and the mantras and you try to do some mindset shifts and you go to therapy and all of these are helpful. However, you might notice that you do them and they don't stick, and this is the reason why.

Speaker 1:

So 95% of our actions, our choices, our behaviors, our decisions come from and are ruled by and driven by, the unconscious mind, and the unconscious mind is what drives the conscious mind. So your thoughts from your conscious mind are actually driven by how your unconscious mind is programmed and how it's filtering and how it's operating like an operating system. And if you haven't touched your unconscious mind, if you haven't addressed that conditioning, the survival-based conditioning that's ruling everything else downstream, then anything you try that's going to address your conscious mind is only going to take you so far and it's likely not going to be permanent. And this is why nervous system regulation it's such a popular topic right now and I'm not knocking it. It's important.

Speaker 1:

Nervous system regulation techniques, nervous system support techniques, supporting your vagus nerve all of these things can absolutely be helpful, especially in moments of high stress, high pressure. However, if you do these nervous system regulation techniques and you're not actually addressing the deeper level of your unconscious mind and the neurobiology that's associated with your unconscious mind, then what happens is, when you stop the nervous system regulation techniques, you just feel like you just kind of went back to square one again, and that's because your unconscious mind is actually what's driving your nervous system. It's what tells your nervous system to go into fight or flight response or freeze response or fawn response, and so, yeah, you can work at the level of the nervous system, and it is very important, especially at the beginning when I work with somebody. However, it doesn't address the driver of the nervous system, that other side of the bridge. Right, the nervous system is the bridge and so the driver is the unconscious mind and your associated neurobiology that's associated with your unconscious mind. And when you address that which is the work that I do then I've noticed this time and time again is my clients don't need to rely on those nervous system regulation techniques anymore because their set point changes the way their operating system that's driving their nervous system changes, and this is the deeper root.

Speaker 1:

And for those of us who are highly sensitive, gifted neurodivergent, we are more deeply impacted by changing the state of our unconscious mind, both negatively and positively. So what that means is, if you do recalibrate your unconscious mind and the neurobiology associated with it, so that you're no longer operating from that survival-based state and then you are able to show your unconscious mind a more positively supportive way of perceiving things, which I like to call vantage success mode, then what happens is that you are naturally biologically wired to benefit from that, to the point where this is actually how you launch into that thriving, which helps not only you, but it helps everybody who's impacted by the work that you do, especially if you are a leader, a visionary, a thought leader, somebody who is involved in helping other people, involved in making important decisions, somebody who's involved in creating solutions. When you operate from this vantage success mode, this level of thriving, the studies show that you have greater access to all of your gifts. They come even more naturally, which means that you can solve bigger problems, which means that your productivity improves even more so, and it means that you have greater resilience, no matter what's going on around you, and it means that you're no longer filtering for things like rejection.

Speaker 1:

And especially there's so many people who are highly sensitive or neurodivergent who do experience rejection, sensitivity, dysphoria, and so if we're rejected and we're criticized it can impact us deeply, almost to the point where it feels like we can't control it, and it impacts how we feel and our emotions and how we respond and how we think about ourselves. And this is because of that reticular activating system that is filtering for rejection and when we see proof of it, then activates a whole other set of neurobiological things, like your default mode network, which is kind of like your inner dialogue mode and how you perceive yourself and identify with yourself. When the reticular activating system is picking up the rejection, even if it isn't rejection, even if it's neutral or ambiguous, your reticular activating system will interpret it as rejection. If it's not a clear acceptance, and then that triggers your default mode network to start getting into rumination and thought loops, negative thought loops. That's when you start thinking like did I do something wrong? That's when you start thinking like did I do something wrong? What's wrong with me? Oh, I'm not good enough, I need to change. I need to fix myself. Why can't I just be like everybody else? Why are they rejecting me? I'm a bad person, all these things, that rumination is actually controlled by that default mode network, and unconscious mind recalibration helps with these things and so many other things. It helps to quiet down that default mode network and studies show that that helps you to break free from those ruminating thought loops and actually access deeper levels of your unconscious mind, which studies show can be considered your higher self. And your higher self, which is the deepest level of your unconscious mind, is where you have connection to the greatest level of intuitive hits and answers and solutions, beyond anything that you could have logically imagined, because you're connecting to something more deep than your conscious mind. You're connecting to the deepest level of your unconscious mind, which is theorized that this deepest level of your unconscious mind is also connected to everybody else's deepest level of their unconscious mind, right, that collective connection. So all of this to say these past few months of me being radio silent is this everything that I'm talking about now is a result of everything that I pieced together over these past few months, of all the research that I finally took the time to organize for myself, and I see now how important it is that I did this, not only for me but for you, because this is not only interesting and helpful. I think it's important and necessary now more than ever.

Speaker 1:

There are so many people who are highly sensitive, gifted neurodivergent, who aren't accessing their fullest potential because they don't know how to leverage their neurobiology. And so many of us know that we are here for more. We're here for something deep and meaningful, transformative, important, to create change, to lead people, to help people. And if you're like myself and so many of my clients, you know this to be true. It's wired in you. You can't just stay at the superficial and you can't just stay at a status quo job where you're just doing something for the sake of making money. And it's actually because of your neurobiology and the way that you're wired. It's instinctual. You can't not. And you also, because of this neurobiology, you need to be doing whatever you're doing, aligned with your values, with integrity, with authenticity, with honesty, with transparency. It's actually within your neurobiology that you are more sensitive to injustice than the general population and you can't not listen to that. You already know.

Speaker 1:

If you try to ignore these things, it's kind of like putting this big, high energy dog into this tiny room and not letting to ignore these things. It's kind of like putting this big, high energy dog into this tiny room and not letting it out. Eventually it's going to destroy the room, and that's what it feels like on the inside if you ignore these things, if you try to work against these things. And this is what happens when you work against your neurobiology, when you don't understand how you're wired and when you're still operating from survival mode with your unconscious mind. And this is why it's so important to understand this deeper root of your unconscious mind, because nervous system regulation is only going to get you so far. Affirmations and mindset shifts and therapy are helpful, but they're only going to get you so far.

Speaker 1:

And when you address this deeper level of your unconscious mind, then all of the above work better and more efficiently and more quickly. And when you do that and when you recalibrate your unconscious mind to a more positively supportive environment within yourself, starting with your neurobiology, that's when everything opens up. That's when you no longer feel like you're struggling as a highly sensitive or neurodivergent person, because I know there's so many of us who have felt like it's so challenging that it's a grind to achieve the level of success that we want to achieve, to do the things that we want to do, to actually feel like we're being recognized for the work and the brilliance that our work provides, to actually have people take us seriously, especially because we are so forward thinking compared to so many people. Because of our neurobiology, because this is how we think, because of how we're wired, we are connected to more deep thought. We are connected to more out-of-the-box thinking. We are connected to more intuitive thought. We are connected to more out of the box thinking. We are connected to more intuitive thinking and thinking in ways, in non-linear ways that most people don't, and this is our advantage. These are our gifts, and they are gifts that actually the world needs more than ever right now. If you haven't noticed, we're going through some big changes in humanity and society, and I could go. I'll do another podcast episode one day about exactly what's happening. What's going on from what I'm observing in the science and with astrology Kind of confirms the patterns of what's actually going on, for now to know that we are in this process of big transformation.

Speaker 1:

One reference that I'll mention here is something called the fourth turning, and some of you might already know about this. So William Strauss and Neil Howe had come up with this theory called the fourth turning. There are four cycles that a society goes through and then it will repeat itself. These four cycles usually happen over the course of 80 to 100 years, and the last time we had a fourth turning was between around the time of the Great Depression and the Second World War. And what happens in the fourth turning? It's a time of collapse of an old way of how society operates collapse of an old way of how society operates and then it's followed with a new cycle of regeneration at a higher level than it was before. And right now we're in another fourth turning and things are starting to collapse so that they can be reordered and renewed and regenerated in a new way that's at a higher level than where we're operating now. We can't control that. It happens in cycles, over and over and over again, and history proves this.

Speaker 1:

So right now we're in this huge time of change, collapse, and certain things that are no longer working are falling apart, including how we operate, how systems work, institutions, how people connect with each other. There's a lot of things that are going on that we're seeing more and more, and we're having these things illuminated to us about what's not helpful now and when we experience change. Carl Jung suggested that the solutions to the biggest problems that humanity has cannot be solved with logic alone. They need to be created through developing a higher level of consciousness, because logic alone is not going to provide the solutions, because logic alone is based on what we already know, and we need to find solutions and new ways of operating and doing things based on this higher level order that we're about to step in.

Speaker 1:

Once, this fourth turning moves back into a first turning, and those of us who are highly sensitive, gifted neurodivergent, we're actually designed to be leading this. Because of our neurobiology, we're able to think outside the box, we're sensing things before they happen, we're able to come up with innovative solutions that no one has ever considered, and we're able to lead others with compassion and integrity through this change, especially the ones that are suffering the most, and this is going to help all of us move forward through this change into the next era. So we need people that are wired in this way to step up in their leadership to their fullest potential, to help all of us move through this era of change, this fourth turning, and there's many other ways to describe this, based on different social change theory, and I'll get into that in another podcast. The reason why I'm saying all of this is not to convince you or try to motivate you, but to confirm to you because I know, if you're like me, you've already known this instinctually and I'm confirming this to you, to validate to you that, yeah, what you've been sensing is real and science proves it, and this is what I've been putting together.

Speaker 1:

So, those of us who are in this place and wired this way and designed this way no-transcript, it's not. It's actually designed for this era in humanity and civilization more than ever, and those of us who are leaders, who are built this way, we need to recalibrate our unconscious mind so we're no longer operating from the survival place that we had been programmed to be perceiving life through, because of the neurotypical society who had convinced us that we are wrong for operating in this way, being who we are, thinking in the ways that we think, and the thing is is that there are some things about us that don't match how neurotypicals function in terms of their neurobiology and, because of that, if we force ourselves to operate in the same way as they do and because of that, if we force ourselves to operate in the same way as they do because that's what we were modeled, we're going to struggle Because that's not how we're wired. We need to figure out the way that works for us, based on how we're wired, not how neurotypicals are wired, and then not be hard on ourselves, because we don't function in the same way as neurotypicals To give ourselves the accommodations andpicals to give ourselves the accommodations and give ourselves permission to support ourselves in the way that we need and to think in the ways that we think, and to follow our own inner calling in the way that our inner knowing is telling us that we need to do things. Because you have the answers. They are within you, they're found at the deepest level of your unconscious mind, your higher self. They're there and you have access to them. However, the filters are preventing you from accessing them.

Speaker 1:

You need to clear those filters and then develop the understanding of this new success mode, as I like to call it, or vantage success mode, and I like to use the analogy of exemplars that show you an example of what that way of operating is like. Like tuning a guitar, you need to have a guitar tuner to show you what the tune note sounds like in order to tune your guitar string to that note, and that's another piece of the work that I do, and that's another piece of the work that I do and that's another piece for you to consider. So one piece of the work here is looking at the unconscious mind, recalibration, to clear out all those old filters based on survival mode, and then look at the exemplars to help you tune to the note that you actually want to tune to, which is that more positively supportive note, so that you can leverage the advantages of your neurobiology in terms of the vantage success, because you're designed to flourish once you do and then figure out your own unique way in terms of your leadership, your thought leadership and your operating system, not somebody else's, because when you try to force yourself to operate with somebody else's operating system, that's what holds you back. When you compare yourself to what other people are doing and how other people are functioning and how other people are doing it, you're internally working against your neurobiology. And when you work against your neurobiology, it causes you to struggle even more. And when you work against your neurobiology, it causes you to struggle even more, it holds you back, it prevents you from accessing the full potential of what you can, and I know there's so many people out there who are struggling as a highly sensitive person or neurodivergent person trying to operate in a neurotypical world. I get it, I've been there, I feel it. And there's another way, and I know this all got started actually when I posted something about how there's this third way.

Speaker 1:

I notice online that there's these two camps. There's this one camp which is all about, you know, high sensitivity and neurodivergence as a superpower and they fail to address, maybe, the nuances and the challenges of being highly sensitive and neurodivergent. And then there's this other camp that yells at the people who are saying it's a superpower and saying no, it's not a superpower, it's a disability and it sucks, and so they're seeing the challenges and it can feel like a challenge, especially when your neurobiology is working against you and you are working against your neurobiology, and especially when you're operating with your unconscious mind that's calibrated to threat, to rejection, to criticism, to all the programming that made you feel like how you are and how you're built is wrong. That made you feel like how you are and how you're built is wrong and now you're trying to work against how you're built to try to fit into a society that's not built for how you're wired. It's going to make you feel worse and the science proves it. It's going to make you feel like life is hard, like success is hard, like you have to push the ball uphill all the freaking time.

Speaker 1:

I get it and I see over and over and over and over and over again through all the years that I've been doing this work, that once you understand how you're built and work with how you're built and leverage that neurobiology and the capacity that you have to thrive when you do these things, it changes everything from the inside out. It changes how you see reality, it changes how you respond to reality, it changes how you feel about yourself and all of that changes how you feel physically, your energy. It changes how you feel with all of your symptoms right, because now that bridge that's impacted by your unconscious mind, your nervous system is no longer always on high alert and so you feel better. Your digestion's better, your immune system's better, your autoimmune symptoms are better, pain becomes more tolerable or goes away, hormones recalibrate and improve, metabolism improves. There's so many things that happen here, and the point isn't here in terms of like. Well, this is how you cure your autoimmunity, for example.

Speaker 1:

That comes as a byproduct of this deeper root. That comes as a byproduct of your nervous system no longer being on high alert and high threat, your nervous system being more optimally regulated in terms of having a wider window of tolerance and being able to come back into your regulated set point after disruptions more quickly, more easily and not being thrown off and derailed for days comes from the deeper source of your unconscious mind and the unconscious neurobiology associated with it and how that was programmed like an operating system. And so it's time for an operating system upgrade Wipe out the old so that you can program in a new which will optimize everything, because that's how you're biologically designed. And I see this over and over and over and over and over again. And now I have the science to explain exactly why I've been noticing what I've been noticing all these years, and then this additional certification that I got in timeline therapy to recalibrate your unconscious mind, I can see how more quickly my clients have these huge transformations, how more quickly my clients have these huge transformations. Transformations that took months are happening in days and weeks now it's blowing my mind and it's blowing my mind what's happening within me and look at what I'm coming out with now.

Speaker 1:

Because I've had this experience and I know with certainty that everything that transpired over the past few months is a result of me having had this unconscious recalibration and because I already have a great deal of baseline knowledge about all the other stuff that's associated with your unconscious mind and your nervous system, I've been able to take this and run with it and because of all the other modalities that I have in my methodology you know the timeline therapy and conscious mind recalibration is just one piece of the puzzle here. It's an important piece and I see now that this is like the first thing that needs to happen to have everything else work better and faster and more efficiently and effectively. And I can see now, combined with all of my other modalities, how much this creates mind blowing shifts in people. They become more confident, they trust themselves fully and these things aren't things that they're trying to do. It's not like they're like, but I need to work on my confidence.

Speaker 1:

It's a natural byproduct of recalibrating your unconscious mind and what I'm also seeing, as I was mentioning earlier, so many of us who are highly sensitive and neurodivergent. There's so many of us who do experience rejection, sensitive dysphoria, and I've seen over and over again on social media people asking how do I resolve this? How do I get over this? It's running my life and I get it. I've been there and this is the thing, and the studies prove this to be true. When you recalibrate your unconscious mind, it's not that you're working directly on the rejection, sensitivity, dysphoria. You're working on shifting how your unconscious mind is filtering and operating right. You clear the filter that's filtering for rejection and you recalibrate your default mode network for all of those internal loops that create that like inner mind monkey over analysis and overwhelming thoughts that come up. If you do sense the rejection, all of that shifts and when that shifts, then that rejection sensitivity shifts as well.

Speaker 1:

And I've seen that over and over and over and over and over again through the years that I've been doing this work. And now I have the science to explain why. That is Because I took the time finally to organize all of it and put it together for you. And I'm not done. There's still a lot to put together, but I've taken, I've been able to put enough together now that I can like confidently say all right, now I'm ready to come back out and share what I've figured out for you, and you're going to see this continue to evolve as I put more pieces of the puzzle together and as science catches up to this, because really we've only scratched the surface on all of this in terms of what we know in the science. So it's going to be this constantly evolving and growing thing. However, I can say with assuredness now what I know to be true, that's backed by science, that no one's talking about in this way, and this is such an important key and piece of the puzzle that changes the lives of so many people that I've been working with.

Speaker 1:

I see it over and over and over again and it's changed my life, and so I want to get this out to you, because if you're highly sensitive, you're neurodivergent, you're gifted and you know there's this like invisible barrier that's been keeping you back from your full potential. You know there's more that you want to be doing, but all those survival mechanisms and coping mechanisms keep coming out. You're afraid of saying something that's going to trigger people and so, because of that, you hold back, you play small, or, if you say something that does trigger people, you backtrack or over-explain yourself or try to do whatever you can to smooth over the situation, even if it means compromising your own priorities and compromising yourself. And because of all of this, you doubt yourself. You don't fully trust your intuition because whenever you've tried to trust your intuition which, by the way, is very accurate, however, you've been conditioned to believe that you were wrong.

Speaker 1:

Because other people don't get it, because other people don't understand you, they don't understand how you're built. Other people don't get it because other people don't understand you. They don't understand how you're built, they don't understand your forward thinking thoughts, because other people are telling you that you're too different, too weird, too sensitive, you're overthinking things, you're over analyzing things, you're making things up. You're not, but because you've been told over and over again that you are, you don't trust fully your own intuition and because of all of the unconscious conditioning that's been causing you to filter for threat and rejection and causing you to think negatively about yourself, because that's what had been modeled to you you don't have that deeper access to the deepest level of your unconscious mind and you don't fully trust it.

Speaker 1:

Ask me how I know I've gone through all of this. I'm speaking from personal experience and I know you know that, and this is why I'm so passionate about this, because all of this has changed my life and it's continuing to change my life. And this next, this last little piece that happened to me in 2024 has taken me to the next level of what I'm here to do, what my purpose and mission is. I know that I'm here for fellow sensitive, gifted, neurodivergent, visionary leaders who are here to make a difference, and I'm here to help you leverage your neurobiology so that you can be leading from your fullest potential, so you can make that impact and difference. You know that you're here to make and you can achieve that next level of success and recognition without having to push so hard, so that you can achieve all of this in a way that feels effortless, because you're aligned with your flow, because you're in that place of Wu Wei-wei, effortless action, that flow state which science proves is a thing, and doing everything that I'm talking about here helps you get into that flow state and helps you to thrive over and above your neurotypical peers, so that you can lead from your highest potential and fullest potential and have the success, the recognition, make those meaningful differences, while also being recognized for your leadership, so that you can be that highly respected, sought after thought leader. That's making a difference and leaving a legacy that you know that you want to make.

Speaker 1:

And all of that happens when you get to this deeper root. It changes how you see things, how you show up, how you act, whether or not you are actually sharing your most innovative thoughts, and how you share them in a way that speaks with command and authority and confidence. Not because you're forcing it, not because you're faking it until you make it, but because your unconscious, entire neurobiology shifts to a space where it just becomes second nature to feel confident, to feel at ease with yourself and to feel at peace from the inside out and to be fully satisfied with what you're doing, because you're doing it your way, because you are aligned with your flow and doing what you know inherently you're here to be doing, and if you're with me, you know what I'm talking about. So this is a little preview of what's to come for season two and what's to come on my social media and my emails that I send out. I'm about to share with you, likely a whole bunch of new perspectives that you had never considered about yourself as a highly sensitive, gifted or neurodivergent person. That's going to change the game for you in terms of your success, in terms of your satisfaction, in terms of your energy, in terms of your work, in terms of what you're here to do, what you're here to do, how you're here to do it. And it's a completely different perspective than probably anything that you've ever been modeled or shown or explained or taught before. And that's because of my gift of being able to put together the pattern, since the patterns connect the dots and put things together and think in ways and ask questions that likely no one else has ever asked. And I see now that that's my gift. And the more I've been connecting and recalibrating my own unconscious mind, the more I've been connecting with these gifts and they are getting bigger and more powerful and more innate and natural. And I know now that these gifts within me are designed to help put together something that's going to help you, especially if you're designed like me. That's my current purpose, that's my inner purpose right now.

Speaker 1:

This whole podcast is called the inner purpose podcast. Well, here we go. My inner purpose is to help you calibrate your neurobiology so that you can be living your inner purpose, because that's actually how you thrive. This is not a nice to have. This is actually how you're neurologically built and because you're actually neurologically built this way, why would you want to waste it? You have choices. You can continue to feel like you're hitting an invisible wall and only working at maybe 50, 60, 70% of your fullest potential. You can choose to work against your neurobiology and try to fit yourself into a box of how the neurotypical world works which, by the way, a lot of how the neurotypical world works doesn't even really work for a lot of neurotypicals or you can take advantage of your own unique neurobiological wiring, because when you do, that's actually when you can make the biggest difference. That's when you're going to step into your inner purpose, in your flow, in your success, with your recognition, and have it flow effortlessly, with confidence, with ease, and enjoy it with satisfaction. Be at peace with yourself, not fight against yourself.

Speaker 1:

And if you're listening to this, you already know all this. You've already known all of this instinctively, but maybe you may not have been able to put words to this, maybe you didn't understand exactly the mechanisms behind it and maybe you needed someone to confirm this to you, what you instinctively knew. Well, here I am confirming it. It's a thing and I hear this a lot when I see my clients is, when I explain so much of this, they're like, wow, it's like you're giving me validation to be me. It's like you're giving me permission to actually follow what I always knew this whole time. And I love the fact that I can give them this validation and give them this permission and help them to feel seen and heard and understood, sometimes for the first time in their lives, and I don't want to be the practitioner who they rely on to give them the validation and permission. That's only the first step. The next step is to show them how to give themselves the permission going forward, because that's what changes everything.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I think I'm done for now. I have so much to say, but I think we've done enough for this podcast episode. I look forward to coming back and sharing with you all the things that I'm finding, all the new perspectives that are probably going to shift how you think about yourself and your neurobiology in ways you'd never considered. So if that interests you, stick around and I'll talk to you in the next podcast episode. Thank you for being here.
